PAKISTAN EMERGENCY RESPONSE LEARNING PROGRAM
HISTORY
PERLP is an organization that conducts awareness and training sessions to educate the masses of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on self-safety, emergency response, and rescue so that they may become useful in times of distress.
The journey to enlighten the Islamic republic of Pakistan began when the initial team of PERLP volunteered at Mehran Base, Sharah-e-Faisal, Karachi, as well as in Kashmir during the 2005 earthquake. It was astounding to see how many people were present to volunteer and help out through the best of their mean, however, there was no management and the volunteers weren’t aware on the tactics necessary to provide the service required of the volunteers because they did not have any formal or informal training. Team PERLP being uniquely trained in leadership comprises of National Scouts as well as individuals from different professions, this advantage allowed them to take charge of the
situation and organize the matters to create a flow of productivity.
